Special Weather Statement
Special Weather Statement Issued by the Bahamas Department of Meteorology at 3pm Edt, Wednesday 9th August, 2017.
An Area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms over the Central Bahamas is associated with a trough of low pressure however, development of this system appears unlikely over the next few days.
The System could trigger pockets of heavy rain and thunderstorms over parts of the Central and Northwest Bahamas today and tomorrow, resulting in possible flooding in low lying areas.
