Freeport, Bahamas - Christmas is now so near, and after our first anniversary of the 'Heart of Grand Bahama', the Garden of the Groves is happily repeating the successful pre-Christmas events of last year.

The Community will surely remember St. Nicholas in the Garden when we invited local artists and artisans to exhibit their work on tables around the gardens....and children to meet St.Nick who gave them little bags of sweets!  This popular fete will all be repeated this year, and it promises to be even bigger and better!  More tables; more easels; more amusements; more food and more fun!  On Saturday 5th December from 12 noon until 6.00p.m.everyone is invited to the Garden of the Groves Christmas Market!  Yes  come and find your Christmas gifts, and know you are supporting your local community artists and artisans;  your friends and neighbours!  Know too that you will have a wonderful afternoon enriched by Christmas music, food, fun and amusements for the whole family.  At the close of the Fair we will turn on the lights of our lovely little Labyrinth Christmas-tree, which will be in place until twelfth night.

The Labyrinth Party 'Heralding Christmas' will be on Saturday 19th December from 4.00pm around our beautiful tree. This year's Caroling  will be enriched by the glorious music and voices of Gloria McGlone, Kevin Tomlinson and other dear friends, and topped off with Barbara's mulled wine and Christmas cookies!  We  hope everyone will bring their best voices and and their friends to join our feathered Garden songsters in welcoming the forthcoming Holy birthday on 25th when the Labyrinth and the Garden of the Groves will be Open for your Christmas pleasure.  Indeed, like the famous windmill - we never close!  The Garden is open 365 days of the year to be enjoyed by all creatures, great & small!

The Garden Cafe will be hosting some splendid movies and concerts on the big screen under the Enchanted Figgy Ficus Tree on the top deck!  Every Friday night we screen great concert performances during dinner; always popular performers!  Of special note, Friday 18th December we will be airing the great ' Andre Rieu in Concert'' from 7.00p.m.

We have Dinner Movie Evenings, generally on the second Wednesday of each month. This month, a week late (sorry!) on Wednesday 25th November at 6.30p.m., we are really excited to be presenting a spectacular National Geographic film of great beauty, tenderness and educational value, all-family entertainment not to be missed on the big screen.....The beautiful 'March of the Penguins"
