Freeport, Grand Bahama - Ianthon Cecil Demeritte age 25 years of #3 Drake Avenue was arraigned on Friday 4th November 2016 before Magistrate Charlton Smith in Magistrate Court #2 on Attempted Murder charge. He was not required to enter a plea and the matter was adjourned to the 6th February 2016 for a Preliminary Enquiry (trial). Bail was denied and he was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services in New Providence.
He was represented by attorney Ashley Evans Carroll.
This is in connection to an incident reported to police on Saturday 29th October 2016.
Police are also urging anyone who may have any information regarding any crime, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477)
