Police in Grand Bahama are investigating a shooting incident that has left a 49 year old male dead.

Reports are that on Thursday 31st March 2016, shortly after 5:00pm, police were called to Churchill Road, South Bahamia, where reports of gunshots were heard. Officers responded and upon arrival at the scene discovered a male suffering from gunshot wounds to the body, he was rushed to the Rand Memorial Hospital via EMS in critical condition where he later died.

Police are actively investigating this matter and are appealing to anyone who may have any information concerning this incident to please contact the Central Detective Unit Office at telephone numbers 350-3107 thru 12, 911/ 919 or call your nearest police station.

Police are urging anyone who may have any information regarding any crime, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) or 1-242-300-8477 (FAMILY ISLANDS)
