5,860 marijuana plants discovered in Grand Bahama

Drug Enforcement Unit Officers along with other Law Enforcement Officials, on Tuesday 28th July 2015 around 10:00am, while on routine air patrol in the area of the Lucayan National Park, discovered several plots of suspected marijuana plants, ranging from six inches to two feet in height. The total amount of suspected marijuana plants discovered were 5,860. The estimated street value is over five hundred thousand dollars. No arrest was made in this matter.

Investigations are continuing.
