Police are investigating an alleged drowning in the Xanadu Beach area. Reports are that on Sunday 13th April 2014 shortly after 5:00pm, police received information that a 55 year old male of Freeport, Grand Bahama while swimming in the canal at Xanadu Beach encountered difficulties while in the water. He was assisted to shore and was discovered to be unresponsive.
Officers and EMS personnel arrived at the scene and the victim was pronounced dead.
Police are actively investigating this matter...
