Fatal car accident on Coral Road, Grand Bahama

Freeport, Bahamas - Police in Grand Bahama are investigating a traffic accident that has left a 37 year old male of Pioneers Loop dead.

The incident reportedly occurred around 3:00pm on Saturday 23rd July 2016 and involved a 1999 white Lincoln Limousine and a green 2004 Toyota Corolla.

Reports are that both vehicles were travelling on Coral Road near the junction of Nansen Avenue when the accident occurred. The driver of the green Toyota Corolla received serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS personnel. Four passengers of the Lincoln Limousine also received injuries and were taken to the Rand Memorial Hospital by EMS personnel for further medical attention.

Police are actively investigating this matter.

Police are urging the motoring public to always buckle up and to drive with care and attention while traversing our streets.

Police are also urging anyone who may have any information regarding any crime, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477)
