3 bags of suspected marijuana, revolver and ammo found in Eight Mile Rock

Grand Bahama Island -- Reports are that on Tuesday 25th September 2018, shortly after 1:00pm, Drug Enforcement Unit Officers, assisted by Bahamas Custom Officers, and acting on information, went to the Graveyard Corner, in Eight Mile Rock, where they conducted a search of nearby bushes and discovered a bag containing three (3) plastic bags of suspected marijuana and a chrome.22 revolver with (2) .22 rounds of ammunition. There were no suspects arrested in this matter.

Later that same day officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit, while in the Coral Reef estates observed a male who upon seeing the officers ran, and while doing so dropped a white bag. The bag when examined contained a quantity of suspected marijuana, weighing three (3) pounds and with a street value of $3,000.00
There were no arrest made in this matter and investigation will continue.
