Grand Bahama homicide suspects arraigned on multiple murder charges

Freeport, Bahamas - Police in Grand Bahama hauled before the Magistrate Court two male suspects who were arraigned on multiple murder charges and a number of serious charges.

Tavares Beckford age 39 years of #4 Caneby Terrace was arraigned before Magistrate Rengin Johnson in Magistrate Court #3 in Freeport, Grand Bahama. He was arraigned on (1) count of Murder and was not required to enter a plea. This matter was adjourned to the 7th June 2016 for a preliminary enquiry.

Further Tavares Beckford was also arraigned before Magistrate Gwendolyn Claude at the Eight Mile Rock Magistrate Court. He was arraigned on (2) counts of Attempted Murder and (1) count of Possession of a firearm with the intent to endanger life. This matter was adjourned to the 9th June 2016 for a preliminary enquiry. He was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until trial.

Renaldo Hudson age 19 years of Tasmin Circle was arraigned before Magistrate Debbye Ferguson in Magistrate Court #1, he was arraigned on Possession of an unlicensed Firearm and Ammunition. He pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced to (4) years at the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services. He was further arraigned on (3) counts of Murder and (1) count of Attempted Murder and was not required to enter a plea, the matter was adjourned to the 6th July 2016 for trail.

Further Renaldo Hudson was arraigned before Magistrate Court #2 on Murder and Armed Robbery charges, this matter was adjourned to the 4th July 2016 for a preliminary enquiry, he was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until trial.

Police are also urging anyone who may have any information regarding any crime, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) or 1-242-300-8477 (FAMILY ISLANDS)
