Freeport, Grand Bahama - Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Plan for 2016, officers from a Special Police operation team in Grand Bahama arrested an adult male after they found an illegal firearm in his possession on Sunday 17th July 2016.
Reports are that shortly before 10:00pm, officers from Operation Turf Sweep were on patrol on Weddell Avenue, when they saw a man who aroused their suspicion. The officers conducted a search of the man and uncovered a .45 Glock Pistol with 10 rounds of ammunition in his possession. The man was subsequently arrested and taken into custody.
