Reports are that on Saturday 22nd April 2017 shortly before 8:00pm, a male reported that while in the East Beach Drive area, he was approached by another male who produced a handgun and shot him several times to the body. He was taken to the Rand Memorial Hospital via private vehicle where he is listed in serious condition.

Two males are in police custody who are assisting police with their investigation into this matter.
