Grand Bahama man stabbed in Gambier Drive area

Freeport, Bahamas - Police are investigating a stabbing incident that has left a 48 year old male in hospital.

Reports are that on Friday 26th September 2014 around 4:00am, Police received information that a male while in the area of Gambier Drive was accosted by a male who he described as wearing all black with black cloth tied around his face who demanded the keys to his vehicle which he refused. A scuffle reportedly ensued between both the assailant and the victim which resulted in the victim receiving multiple stab wounds about the body. The suspect fled the area on foot. The victim drove to the Rand Memorial Hospital in his private vehicle where he is being treated for his injuries.

Police are investigating this matter and are appealing to the general public for anyone with information that can assist the police to contact them at telephone numbers 350-3107/8, 911/919 or call your nearest police station.
