Grand Bahama police investigating plane crash at shipyard

Freeport, Bahamas - Police in Grand Bahama are investigating a plane crash.

Reports are that on Sunday 9th November 2014 shortly before 5:00pm, police received information that a plane had crashed landed at the Grand Bahama Shipyard. Officers responded along with EMS personnel, Police Fire Services and personnel from the Grand Bahama Shipyard where they met and came upon a crash site in the Grand Bahama Shipping Yard. Pathologist from the Rand Memorial Hospital were also at the scene and confirmed that all passengers on the flight were confirmed deceased.

Further reports are that the aircraft had left New Providence into Freeport, Grand Bahama with nine passengers on board. Officials from the Civil Aviation Department along with the Police Department will continue investigations into this matter.
