Grand Bahama police report 2 traffic accidents on Thursday, August 21st

Freeport, Bahamas - On Thursday 21st August 2014 shortly before 7:00am, an accident occurred on Queen’s Highway involving a white 2007 Chevy Monte Carlo that was travelling west on Queens Highway when the vehicle ran off the southern side of the street, lost control and collided into a curb stone and overturned. The male passenger was ejected from his vehicle and received injuries about the body. He was transported to the Rand Memorial Hospital via ambulance and is detained in serious but stable condition.

On Thursday 21st August 2014 around 1:00pm, an accident occurred at the intersection of Yellow Pine Street and Logwood Road, involving a maroon 2001 Ford F-150 pickup truck that was driven south on yellow pine street, when it collided with a silver 1994 Nissan Bluebird driven west on Logwood Road who failed to ascertain the way clear and was struck by the driver of the F150 truck while crossing yellow pine street. Both drivers received injuries and were transported to the Rand Memorial Hospital for medical treatment. Both vehicles were extensively damaged.Police are investigating all matters.
