Homicide at Smith’s Point Fish Fry in Freeport

Police in Grand Bahama are investigating a shooting incident that has left a 20 year old male of Freeport dead.

Reports are that on Thursday 31st March 2016, shortly after 2:00am, police were called to Smith’s Point Fish Fry where there were reports of a shooting. Upon arrival officers discovered that the male victim was transported to the Rand Memorial Hospital in a private vehicle where he was seen by doctor with several gunshot wounds to the body and later succumbed to his injuries.

Police are actively investigating this matter and are appealing to anyone who may have any information concerning this incident to please contact the Central Detective Unit Office at telephone numbers 350-3107 thru 12, 911/ 919 or call your nearest police station.

Police are urging anyone who may have any information regarding any crime, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328- TIPS (8477) or 1-242-300-8477 (FAMILY ISLANDS)
