Incident at sea reported by Grand Bahama police

Freeport, Bahamas - Police in Grand Bahama are investigating an incident at sea that has left a male with serious injuries.

Reports are that on Wednesday, 18th March 2015 shortly before 10:00am, a 62 year old male of Queens Cove, Grand Bahama, while reportedly working on a vessel at sea, received injuries which resulted in the lower part of his right leg being amputated. The victim was transported to Grand Bahama where he was met by EMS personnel who transported him to the Rand Memorial Hospital. His condition is said to be listed as stable.

Police are actively investigating.
