Man walking track road in Freeport gets shot in leg

Freeport, Bahamas - Police in Grand Bahama are investigating a shooting incident that has left a male hospitalized.

Reports are that on Thursday 23rd June 2016 shortly after 10:00pm, a male reported that while in the area of Murchinson Drive walking through a track road, he heard gunshots and discovered he was shot to the leg.He was transported to the Rand Memorial Hospital in a private vehicle where his injuries are said to be none life threatening.

Police are actively investigating this matter and are urging anyone with any information that can assist the police in their investigation, to contact the Central Detective Unit Office at telephone numbers 350-3107 thru12, 911/919 or call your nearest police station.
