Marijuana field discovered in Grand Bahama, street value 7.5 million

Freeport, Bahamas - Reports are that on Thursday 10th April 2014 around 10:00am, Officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit along with U.S counterparts acting on information went to an undeveloped area just two and a half miles in East Grand Bahama, where they discovered a number of marijuana plants ranging between one to five feet in height.

The plots contained approximately 75 thousand plants with a street value of 7.5 million dollars. Officers also discovered three black garbage bags that contained freshly processed marijuana along with three make shift tents in the area.

No arrest were made at this time, police are actively investigating this matter.
