Reports are that on Saturday 5th September 2015 shortly after 2:00am, a traffic accident occurred on Sergeant Major Road, south of Indian Man Road, where a grey 2006 Chevy Cobalt with two male occupants collided into a utility pole. Both passengers had to be extricated from the vehicle by the use of the Jaws of Life. The male driver of the vehicle succumbed to his injuries at the scene and the male passenger is said to be listed in serious condition.

This matter is under active police investigation.
