Plane crash in Grand Bahama being investigated by police

Freeport, Bahamas - Police in Grand Bahama are investigating a plane crash that has left four persons dead.

Reports are that on Monday 18th August 2014 shortly after 10:00am, police received information that a twin engine Cessna 340 aircraft travelling from Morgan Beach Central Florida enroute to Freeport, Grand Bahama had crashed landed in waters five miles northwest of Freeport, Grand Bahama. Officers from the Royal Bahamas Police Force, Royal Bahamas Defence Force, Basra and other emergency personnel responded and assisted with the recovery efforts. Four Caucasian male bodies were recovered from the crash site.

Police and the Department of Civil Aviation are actively investigating this matter.
