Armed robbery at business in Grand Bahama - Grevious harm suspects arraigned

“ARMED ROBBERY– GRAND BAHAMA”

Freeport, Grand Bahama - Police on Grand Bahama are investigating an overnight robbery.

According to reports at approximately 10:15pm on Wednesday 21st January 2015 an individual wearing a red and white Spider Man mask and dressed in dark clothing entered a business establishment located on West Atlantic Drive and Pioneers Way, Freeport, Grand Bahama. The person produced a handgun and robbed the employee of cash. The bandit fled the scene on foot. No one was hurt during the incident.

Police are actively investigating this matter.



“GRIEVOUS HARM SUSPECTS ARRAIGNED- GRAND BAHAMA”


At 11:00am on Thursday 22nd January 2015 a male and a female were formally arraigned before Magistrate Debbye Ferguson in Magistrate Court # 1, Freeport, Grand Bahama on Grievous Harm charges. This is in connection with the stabbing incident that occurred at a business establishment located on East Atlantic Drive, Freeport, Grand Bahama on Sunday 18th January 2015, where a 51 year old male was stabbed.

They are:
1. Gladys Albert age 39 years of Grand Bahama
2. Marcdonel Virgile 27 years of Grand Bahama

The duo pleaded not guilty and the matter was set for 18th March 2015 for trial. Bail was denied, subsequently, they were remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison until that date.
