RBPF Grand Bahama - Shooting incident left a male dead - Possession of a Firearm and dangerous drug arrest

HOMICIDE - GRAND BAHAMA

Freeport, Grand Bahama - Police in Grand Bahama are investigating a shooting incident that has left a male dead.

Reports are that on Sunday 23rd April 2017, shortly before 11:00pm, police were called to an apartment complex on Amberjack Street where officers discovered the lifeless body of a male with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two male suspects are in police custody in connection with this matter. Police are actively investigating.

POSSESSION OF A FIREARM AND DANGEROUS DRUGS ARREST – GRAND BAHAMA

Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Plan for 2017, Police in Grand Bahama arrested a male after he was found in Possession of a Firearm and Dangerous Drugs.

Reports are that on Sunday 23rd April 2017, shortly after 11:00pm, police arrested a male at his residence in the Garden Villas area after he was found in possession of a .45 pistol with (12) live rounds of ammunition and a quantity of suspected marijuana.

He is expected to be arraigned before the Magistrate Court later this week.
