Another Firearm taken of Grand Bahama streets by officers from Operation Turf Sweep

Freeport, Grand Bahama - Consistent  with  the  Commissioner’s  Policing  Priorities  for  2016,  officers  from  Operation  Turf  Sweep  seized  another firearm off the streets of Grand Bahama on Thursday 28th April 2016.

Reports are that shortly before 12:00am, officers were in the Garden Villas area where they arrested a 23 year old male of Frobisher Circle who was found with a .9mm pistol with (1) magazine containing (7) .9mm rounds of ammunition.

The suspect is expected to be arraigned before the Magistrate Court early next week.

Police are also urging anyone who may have any information regarding any crime, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) or 1-242-300-8477 (FAMILY ISLANDS)
