Freeport, Grand Bahama - On Thursday 18th September 2014, shortly after 7:00pm, Drug Enforcement Unit Officers acting on information proceeded to the Lewis Yard area and discovered in bushes a large clear plastic containing a quantity of suspected marijuana. The estimated weight is (5) pounds and its street value is $5,000.00 five thousand dollars. There was no arrest in this matter.
Also on Thursday 18th September 2014, sometime around 9:30pm, Drug Enforcement Officers while patrolling in the Knowles Drive area, stopped and search a grey 2003 Chevy Cavalier vehicle with two male occupants. Officers upon searching one of the males discovered in his possession a white plastic wrap containing a small amount of suspected marijuana. He was arrested and taken into custody.
Investigations are continuing.
