Double shooting in Hunters, Grand Bahama

Freeport, Grand Bahama - Police in Grand Bahama are investigating a shooting incident that has left two males hospitalized.

Reports are that on Wednesday 23rd March 2016, shortly after 12:00am, a group of males were at a local bar in the Hunters area, when a male who was described as dressed in dark clothing, began discharging a number of shots in their direction. Two males were injured with apparent gunshot wounds to the leg and were taken to the Rand Memorial Hospital via ambulance where they are said to be listed in stable condition.

Police are actively investigating this matter.

Police are also urging anyone with any information that can assist with this investigation, you are asked to contact the Central Detective Unit Office in Grand Bahama at telephone number’s 350-3106 thru 12, 911/919 or call your nearest police station.

Police are urging anyone who may have any information regarding any crime, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328- TIPS (8477) or 1-242-300-8477 (FAMILY ISLANDS)
