RBPF Grand Bahama: Drugs and Human Smuggling foiled by Law Enforcement Officers

Police and Immigration officers foiled a smuggling operation and arrested (3) Brazilians and (4) Haitian Nationals along with suspected marijuana seized

Freeprot Grand Bahama - Reports are that on Monday 3rd June 2019 shortly before 11:00pm, officers of the Royal Bahamas Police Force and Immigration Department in collaboration and acting on information, proceeded  in police vessel to the canal area off Flamingo Lane situated off Swan Drive, where they boarded a blue and white fishing vessel and apprehended (4) Haitian nationals and (3) Brazilian nationals. A search was conducted of the vessel and officers uncovered 20lbs. of suspected marijuana valued at $20,000.

Investigation continues in this matter.

Officers of the mobile division arrest (3) males for dangerous drugs possession and outstanding warrants issued by the Magistrate Court.

Reports are that on Monday 3rd June 2019, between the hours of 11:00am – 8:00pm, officers of the Mobile Division while in the Cedar Street area, conducted a road check where they arrested a number of persons for dangerous drugs possession and outstanding warrants issued by the Magistrate Courts.
