Freeport, Grand Bahama - Two Grand Bahama residents arrested on firearm and ammunition possession.

Reports are that on Saturday 14th January 2017 shortly before 3:00pm, police responded to reports of gunshots being heard in the Grenfell Avenue area, a short time later officers while on Pioneers Way stopped and searched a black BMW with a male and female passenger and discovered inside the vehicle a black .380 pistol with three live rounds of ammunition. Both were arrested and taken into custody. The male suspect was also wanted on an outstanding warrant.

Investigation into this matter is continuing.
