RBPF Grand Bahama: Operation Midnight Strike

OPERATION “STEEL CURTAIN” AND OPERATION “MIDNIGHT
STRIKE” DUBBED A SUCCESS IN GRAND BAHAMA

Freeport, Grans Bahama - In keeping with the Commissioner’s Policing Plan for 2018 Priority #1 “Crime Prevention and Reduction of Crime” and Priority #2 Public and Road Safety”. Officers of Grand Bahama arrested (5) persons and issued (67) Fixed Penalty Notices between Friday 5th October 2018 and Sunday 7th October 2018. 

Reports are that on Friday 5th October 2018 between 5:30pm and 8:30pm, officers of the Traffic Division conducted operation “Steel Curtain” that covered most of the Divisions in the Grand Bahama District, and yielded (67) fixed penalty notices.

The second operation dubbed operation “Midnight Strike” commenced on Saturday 6th October 2018 between the hours of 10:00pm and 3:00am on Sunday 7th October 2018. This operation was led by a team of officers from all Divisions in the Grand Bahama District which targeted wanted suspects and executed search warrants on prolific offenders. As a result (5) persons were arrested who were wanted for armed robbery (Kevin Williams aka “POW”), outstanding criminal warrants and for harboring a fugitive.

The Royal Bahamas Police Force in Grand Bahama and the Northern Bahamas District would like to thank the general public for their continued assistance in the fight against crime.
