POLICE IN GRAND BAHAMA LAUNCHED OPERATION “STEADY

AIM” THAT RESULTED IN (9) PERSONS ARRESTED 

Freeport, Grand Bahama - Reports are that on Wednesday 6th March 2019 between the hours of 5:00pm and 12:00midnight, Law Enforcement Officers that included the Police and Customs Department, led a team of officers throughout Grand Bahama Island where they arrested (9) persons; (3) illegal migrants, (2) for harboring illegal migrants, (2) on Warrant of Arrest, and (2) for possession of Dangerous Drugs. 

They are expected to be arraigned before the Magistrate Court later this week.
The Royal Bahamas Police Force along with other law enforcement agencies stands firm in its commitment in the fight against crime.

POLICE ARE APPEALING TO ANYONE WITH INFORMATION REGARDING ANY CRIME, NO MATTER HOW SMALL OR INSIGNIFICANT (THE TIP) MAY SEEM, TO ANONYMOUSLY CALL POLICE AT 919 OR CRIME STOPPERS AT 328-TIPS (8477) (NEW PROVIDENCE) OR 1-242-300-8477 (FAMILY ISLANDS).

PERSONAL SAFETY TIPS – Take a stand against illegal firearms by cooperating with the police in providing information regarding the whereabouts of any illegal firearm.
