RBPF Grand Bahama: Police are investigating a shooting incident has left 2 adult males with injuries

Police in Grand Bahama are investigating a shooting incident that has left two adult males with injuries.

Freeport, Bahamas - According to reports, on Sunday 7th July 2019, shortly before 4:00am, police were called to a business establishment on East Sunrise Highway where it is reported that a lone gunman opened fire hitting two males. One of the males sustained injuries to the upper body and the other to the lower body. They were both transported to the Rand Memorial Hospital via Emergency Medical Services. Both victims are listed in serious condition.

Police are aggressively investigating this incident and are appealing to the public for any information that they may have, to call them at the Central Detective Unit at telephone #’s 350-3107 thru12 or Police Emergency line at telephone #’s 911/919 or call your nearest police station.

POLICE ARE APPEALING TO ANYONE WITH INFORMATION REGARDING ANY CRIME, NO MATTER HOW SMALL OR INSIGNIFICANT (THE TIP) MAY SEEM, TO ANONYMOUSLY CALL POLICE AT 919 OR CRIME STOPPERS AT 328-TIPS (8477) (NEW PROVIDENCE) OR 1-242-300-8477 (FAMILY ISLANDS) OR THE CENTRAL DETECTIVE UNIT AT 350-3106/12.

CRIME PREVENTION TIP – TAKE A STAND AGAINST ILLEGAL FIREARMS BY COOPERATING WITH THE POLICE IN PROVIDING INFORMATION REGARDING THE WHEREABOUTS OF ANY ILLEGAL FIREARM.
