Grand Bahama Police Conduct Road Check "Operation Mayday"

Freeport, Grand Bahama - In keeping with the Commissioner’s Policing Plan for 2015, the Police Traffic

Department, Grand Bahama, conducted an Operation called “Operation Mayday” with the purpose of enforcing the rules of the road and to provide a strong police presence on the streets of Grand Bahama. This special task commenced on Monday 11th May 2015 thru Saturday 16th May 2015 and involved a series of road checks along with consistent motor cycle patrols. A total of (107) persons were cited for various traffic offences.

The Royal Bahamas Police Force would like to take this opportunity to encourage the motoring public to always drive within the speed limit and to always buckle up.
