Suspects Arraigned for rape, armed robbery, and shooting death in Bimini

Freeport, Grand Bahama - Two suspects were hauled before the Magistrate Court in Grand Bahama on Thursday 16th March 2017, one for the shooting death of a male in Bimini and the other for armed robbery and rape that occurred in 2015.

Greg Israel Pinder age 42 years of Easter Avenue was arraigned before Magistrate Charlton Smith in Magistrate Court #2 on Rape and Armed Robbery charges. He was not required to enter a plea and was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until trial (Preliminary Inquiry) on Tuesday 23rd May 2017.

Cyril Ashton McPhee age 18 years of Morgan’s Drive, South Bimini, was arraigned before Deputy Chief Magistrate Debbye Ferguson in Magistrate Court #1 on Murder, Possession of Unlicensed Firearm with the intent to supply, (3) counts of Possession of Unlicensed Firearm and (2) counts of Possession of Ammunition. He was not required to enter a plea and was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services in New Providence until trial (Preliminary Inquiry) on Wednesday July 5th 2017.

This matter is in connection to the shooting death of a male that occurred on Saturday 11th March 2017 in Bimini.
