RBPF Grand Bahama: Suspects Arraigned on Murder and Armed Robbery Charges

Police in Grand Bahama arraigned two suspects on two separate matters before the Magistrate Court on Tuesday 6th June 2017.

The first suspect to be arraigned was Isiah Walkine age 23 years of Holmes Rock, Grand Bahama. He was arraigned before Magistrate Charlton Smith in Magistrate Court #2 on an armed robbery charge. He was not required to enter a plea and the matter was adjourned to the 1st August 2017 for a preliminary enquiry.

He was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services in New Providence until trial.

This is in connection to a matter that was reported to police on Friday 26th May 2017.

The second suspect is Anthony Dames age 19 years of Beacons Field, Grand Bahama. He was arraigned before Magistrate Gwendolyn Claude at the Eight Mile Rock Court on a murder charge. He was not required to enter a plea, and the matter was adjourned to the 7th September 2017 for trial. Prosecution is expected to proceed by Voluntary Bill of Indictment. He was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until trial.

This is in connection to a matter that was reported to police on Monday 29th May 2017.
