Grand Bahama police arrest 2 Americans for firearm possession - 1 fatality after 2 vehicle accident

“TRAFFIC FATALITY – GRAND BAHAMA”

Freeport, Grand Bahama - On Friday 26th June 2015, a traffic accident occurred at the intersection of West Mall Drive and Poinciana Drive that involved two vehicles. Three persons who were passengers in one of the vehicle were hospitalized. Lynette Kelly age 89 years of #129 Wellington Pinder’s Estates died a short time later at the Rand Memorial Hospital.

On Sunday 5th July 2015 shortly before 7:00pm, Ms. Thelma Kensino age 87 years of Wellington Pinder’s Estates, who was also a passenger in that vehicle died at the Rand Memorial Hospital.

Police are actively investigating this matter.

“FIREARM AND AMMUNITION ARREST – GRAND BAHAMA”

Two American males arrested for possession of Firearm and Ammunition.

Reports are that on Monday 6th July 2015 shortly before 5:00pm, Officers of Bahamas Customs while at San Tropez Marina boarded a vessel and discovered a black and chrome colored .9mm pistol with (2) magazine containing (17) .9mm ammunition to which they fail to declare. They were taken into custody and handed over to Police.
