RBPF Nassau: Armed robberies on Chesapeake Rd and Nassau East - Handgun found

FIREARM SEIZED BY FLYING SQUAD OFFICERS SEIZED

According to reports, shortly before 2:00pm on Saturday 24th October 2015, a team of officers from the Flying Squad acting on information conducted a search of an abandoned building located at Peter Street, where they uncovered a handgun. No one was arrested for this discovery.

POLICE SEARCHING FOR SUSPECTS IN TWO ARMED ROBBERIES

In the first incident, shortly before 2:00pm on Saturday 24th October 2015, a man was walking on Chesapeake Road, when two men in a white four door Honda vehicle approached and robbed him of a cell phone before speeding off.

In the second incident, shortly after 8:00pm on Saturday 24th October 2015, a woman was standing in front of her residence located at Nassau East, when two men in a grey Honda vehicle approached and robbed her of her handbag before speeding off.

Investigations are ongoing.
