POLICE IN GRAND BAHAMA ARE INVESTIGATING A TRAFFIC
ACCIDENT THAT HAS LEFT A FEMALE DEAD.

Freeport, Grand Bahama - Reports are that on Saturday 19th May 2018, shortly before 4:00am, police were called to the East Mall Drive and Explorers Way area, where a grey GMC truck that was apparently travelling south on East Mall Drive on the east bound lane, with two occupants, had collided into a tree. The male driver was taken to hospital in stable condition and the female passenger died on scene.

Police are investigating and are appealing to the motoring public, to drive within the speed limit, and to always buckle up.

CRIME PREVENTION TIPS – CONFLICT RESOLUTION

  • Look for ways to settle arguments and disagreements without violence. Remember: if you resort to violence to settle disputes, a child may well follow your example. Be a good role model.
  • Use good manners to help ease tensions that can lead to violence. Teach kids that showing respect for themselves and for the needs of others can prevent crime.
