RBPF make drug arrests in Abaco and Grand Bahama

Royal Bahamas Police Force -- Consistent with the Commissioner ‘s Policing Plan for 2016, Officers of Operation Turf Sweep arrested three persons during two separate incidents on Friday 24th June 2016 for Possession of Dangerous Drugs.The first incident occurred in the Pioneers Way area, officers stopped and searched a black 2004 Honda Accord with two male passengers inside and discovered on one of the males a quantity of suspected marijuana.

In the second incident, Officers of Operation Turf Sweep executed a search of a residence on Pearl Way Drive, Sea Horse Village and discovered a large black garbage bag containing four sealed packages of suspected marijuana. An adult male and female were both arrested and taken into police custody.

Also in a third incident, on Friday 24th June 2016, Officers of the Abaco District arrested a male and a female for Possession of Dangerous Drugs.

Reports are that Officers executed a search warrant at a residence located on Crockett Drive, Marsh Harbour, Abaco and discovered a quantity of suspected marijuana. An adult male and female, both of Freeport, Grand Bahama were arrested and taken into police custody.

All person are expected to be arraigned before the Magistrate Court early next week.

Police are also urging anyone who may have any information regarding any crime, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at328-TIPS (8477)
