Freeport, Grand Bahama - The
Royal Bahama Police Force, Grand Bahama and the Northern District
Annual Church Service and Parade will be held at 2:00pm, on Sunday 7th
February 2016 at the Church of God Temple, Peach Tree Street, Freeport,
Grand Bahama. In attendance will be the Commissioner of Police, Senior
Assistant
Commissioner Grand Bahama & Northern Bahamas
District, Members of the Senior Executive Leadership Team, Law
Enforcement and Uniform Branches including the Royal Bahamas Defence
Force, Bahamas Customs, Bahamas Immigration and Road Traffic Department.
Prior to attending church, officers will assemble at the Gerald
Bartlette Complex, Police Headquarters at 1:15pm, to parade to the
church.
PARADE ROUTE
The parade will leave the parking lot
of the Gerald Bartlette Complex building at 1:15pm, and travel north
along East Mall Drive to Settlers Way, west on Settlers Way to Peach
Tree Street, north on Peach Tree Street to the church.
At the conclusion of the church service, the parade will travel to Police Headquarters, South on Peach Tree
Street
to Settlers Way, east on Settlers Way to West Atlantic Drive, south on
West Atlantic Drive to Explorers Way, east on Explorers Way to East Mall
Drive, north on East Mall Drive to Police Headquarters.
ROAD CLOSURE
From 1:15pm until the parade passes, the following streets will be closed to vehicular traffic;
- East Mall drive between West Mall Drive and Settlers Way
- Settlers Way between East Mall Drive and Peach Street
- Peach Tree Street between Settlers Way and Logwood Road
From 4:00pm until the parade passes the following streets will be closed to vehicular traffic;
- Peach Tree Street between Settlers Way and Log Wood Road
- Settlers Way between Peach Tree Street and West Atlantic Drive
- West Atlantic drive between Settlers Way and Explorers Way
- Explorers Way between West Atlantic Drive and East Mall Drive
- East Mall Drive between Explorers Way and Police Headquarters
