Freeport, Grand Bahama - Suspect arraigned on murder charge of 15 year old Alexis Smith of Holmes Rock, Grand Bahama.
On Friday 4th April 2014, Basil Black age 34 years of Pinedale, Eight Mile Rock was arraigned before Magistrate Gwendolyn Claude in Magistrate Court in Eight Mile Rock on Murder charges. He was not required to enter a plea, a preliminary inquiry will be held on July 3rd 2014 at 10:00am. He was also arraigned on two counts of assaulting a police officer and one count of resisting arrest, he pleaded not guilty. This matter was also adjourned to the 3rd July 2014 for trial. He was not represented by an attorney.
This is in connection with the incident that occurred on Sunday 30th March 2014.
