3 Suspects Arraigned on Murder Charges in Grand Bahama

Freeport, Bahamas - On Monday 7th April 2014, Police have arraigned three men in connection with the murder of Sean Andrew Smith and Leonardo Pierre who were both killed on the 31st March 2014, in the area commonly known as the ghetto.

 Steve Derosa age 32 years of Limewood Lane and Kendrick Colebrook age 27 years of Frobisher Drive were arraigned before Magistrate Debbye Ferguson in Magistrate Court #1 in Freeport, Grand Bahama on the Murder of Sean Andrew Smith and the Attempted Murder of Austin Rolle. They were not required to enter a plea, a preliminary inquiry will commence on the 18th June 2014 at 11:00am. They were both remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison.

Yvener Philome age 22 years of South Bahamia was arraigned before Deputy Chief Magistrate Helen Jones in Magistrate Court #3 in Freeport, Grand Bahama on the Murder charge of Leonardo Pierre. He was not required to enter a plea, a preliminary enquiry will commence on the 10th June 2014 at 10:00am. He was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison. 

Dwight Wilchombe age 36 years of Bayshore Road, West End was arraigned before Magistrate Debbye Ferguson in Magistrate Court #1 on the charge of Unlawful Sexual Intercourse. He pleaded not guilty to the charge and was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison. He was represented by attorney Rengin Johnson.  

This is a matter that was reported to police between the 16th and 17th  March 2014.
