One male dead in traffic fatality on Grand Bahama

Police in Grand Bahama are investigating a traffic accident that has left one man dead and another hospitalized.

The incident reportedly occurred shortly before 1:00am on Saturday 2nd July 2016 and involved a white 2007 Ford F-150 truck and a gray 2006 Nissan Sentra. Both vehicles were travelling on West Sunrise Highway in the area of Sunrise Subdivision when the accident occurred.

Both drivers were taken to the Rand Memorial Hospital via ambulance for medical attention. The driver of the Nissan Sentra however sustained extensive injuries and was later pronounced dead by doctor at the Rand Memorial Hospital.

Police are actively investigating and are admonishing the public once again to slow down, buckle up and to drive with care and attention whilst traversing our streets.
