AML Stores Designated Hurricane Collection Sites for Grand Bahama Red Cross

Grand Bahama residents now have a convenient way to donate to Hurricane Joaquin relieve efforts thanks to a partnership with AML Foods Ltd and the Grand Bahama Red Cross.

Solomon’s Freeport on Queen’s Highway, Solomon’s Lucaya in the Seahorse Plaza and Cost Right Freeport now serve as collection sites for the non-profit organization as they seek to provide assistance to islands in the southern Bahamas.

“As a corporate citizen, we are committed to assisting in whatever way we can to bring aid to those impacted by Hurricane Joaquin. Shortly after the storm, we reached out to the Grand Bahama Red Cross and agreed to place collection bins at our Solomon’s branded outlets and at our Cost Right location on the island,” said Renea Bastian, Vice President of Marketing & Communications at AML Food Ltd, parent company of Solomon’s.

“Now our shoppers can donate with ease in central locations. In addition to supplies like food, clothing and basic necessities, we’re encouraging all citizens to donate of their time and resources to assist our fellow Bahamians.”

Earlier this week, the company delivered $25,000 in food and clothing items to the Nassau branch of the Bahamas Red Cross. The goods will assist residents hardest hit by the storm.
