Freeport, Grand Bahama - Despite the recent resignations of certain pilots, all BORCO operations will continue with business as usual. BORCO has a dedicated team of pilots in place that is more than capable of handling our pilotage needs comfortably on a normal schedule, and there will be no interruption of or delay in service. Any statements by the Bahamas Maritime Pilots Association (BMPA) to the contrary or accusations that BORCO pilots are currently overworked are unfounded. Any berthing delays were solely the result of a port closure because of adverse local weather conditions.

We will continue to uphold the highest international performance standards that have long been key to the BORCO brand in The Bahamas, and in the international oil transshipment and storage industry. Our established pilotage program is designed to meet the needs of our business and our customers, while maintaining safe and professional vessel operations. For over 50 years, operations at BORCO have been conducted at or above international industry standards and we plan to keep it that way.
