Question and Answer session

Freeport, Bahamas - When Grand Bahama Academy's 4th Grade Teachers were planning their studies centered on Tourism, they called on Discovery Cruise Line, the major transportation and tourism contributor to Grand Bahama Island for the past 23 years.

Teacher Avoney Wellington wanted her class of 25 students to gather information first hand in order to learn what transportation is available to this tourist destination and by touring the Discovery Sun thought that they would enjoy the experience.

Onboard, the students were greeted by the Hotel Manager and his staff who provided the tour showcasing all of the amenities and services available to Discovery's customers.  After touring the Starlight Showroom, Prop and Tropical Lounges, the Game Room featuring the latest WII games, as well as, the Bar and Grill, the students were entertained by a Juggler and treated to homemade cookies and soft drinks.

A question and answer session followed whereby students were able to ask the tour guide numerous questions in their quest to understand Discovery's longstanding contribution to the tourism industry to not only Grand Bahama Island, but to The Bahamas.  The students will visit other islands and historical sites, as part of their tourism studies.
