Freeport, Grand Bahama Island - Over the past several years it seems the leading word from the lexicon used to describe the economy on Grand Bahama Island has been; recession. A Glimmer of hope has arisen amidst this economic dark cloud as Dolly Madison Home Center proclaims record breaking sales numbers at it's 2011 Midnight Madness Sale. This store wide sale event has been described by many Grand Bahama residents as the 'Black Friday' of The Bahamas that marks the beginning of the holiday shopping season.

Local Television station ZNS TV showed up to share the positive news with the Grand Bahama community and conducted interviews with residents that have decided to shop at home to avoid the hassles now involved with shopping for goods abroad. Don Roberts Sr., The President of Dolly Madison was pleasantly surprised that business has actually improved this year of all years as he emphasized his commitment to "offering great shopping value with real discounts that his customers can understand and appreciate."

Mr. Roberts proclaims that the great success didn't just happen on its own but was the end result of a carefully crafted marketing plan that encompassed both traditional media and the internet via TheBahamasWeekly.com all executed by his marketing director, David Mackey president of Mackey Media ltd.
