Freeport, The Bahamas - It's the end of an era as the former hotel at Port Lucaya Marketplace has been demolished. The photo seen here of the property now leveled was taken by James Sarles and posted to Facebook on June 17th. Sarles writes, "Peter Hunt and his group who own Port Lucaya Marketplace have been looking to build a comprehensive Water Park and Theme Park on the former site of the Port Lucaya Resort and Yacht Club and surrounding area."

"I think its a great idea," continues James Sarles of Coldwell Banker James Sarles Realty,  the Real Estate Broker for the deal. "...it will bring 1000's of cruise ship passengers to the area. There are a few obstacles which I hope he can overcome. I understand he is working closely with the Port Authority and Government Heads to overcome these issues. Lets all support the growth of Freeport."

Sarles said the plan could be up and operational in 2 years.
