Freeport, Bahamas - Grand Bahama Power said emergency crews have been on the job since early
this morning assessing damage cause from Hurricane Matthew across Grand Bahama. "Our next steps will
be to develop a restoration plan, and then begin the work of repairing
storm damage to our infrastructure," a statement on their Facebook page
said.
Grand Bahamians are asked to keep roadways clear so as not to impede restoration efforts.
The
public is reminded to report all downed poles and power lines to our
24-hour hotline (352-8411 or toll free from cell phones at 242-300-4826)
or post us a message on Facebook.
