Grand Bahama road closures for Military Funeral of Sir Albert Joel Miller

Freeport, Bahamas - Full Military Funeral Service for the late Sir Albert Joel Miller, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Retired), which will be held at the Pro Cathedral of Christ the King Church in Grand Bahama on Saturday, August 29th.

As a result a funeral procession of police officers will leave Police Headquarters travelling south on the Mall Drive to Pioneers Way, continuing east on Pioneers Way to the Pro-Cathedral of Christ the King Church.

ROAD CLOSURE

There will be temporary road closure commencing at 8:00am until the conclusion of the service.

The following streets will be closed to vehicular traffic.

- Settlers Way & The Mall Drive

- East Mall Drive & Explorers Way

- East Mall Drive & Pioneers Way

- Pioneers Way & Frobisher Drive

Commencing from 8:00am until after the funeral on Saturday 29th August 2015, all other vehicular traffic travelling in the area of East Atlantic Drive and Pioneers Way not connected to the Funeral Service will be diverted to all side streets.

- Bruce Avenue

- Weddell Avenue

 - Nansen Avenue

- Rhode lane

There will be NO vehicular parking on the following streets.

- Settlers Way & The Mall Drive

- East Mall Drive and Explorers Way

- East Mall Drive & Pioneers Way

- Nansen & Rhode Lane

- Pioneers Way & Frobisher Drive

Limited parking will be permitted in the area of the church.
