Grand Bahama Island, Bahamas – Grand Lucayan, Bahamas, the premier resort on Grand Bahama Island, has assembled a team of top industry experts to ensure the resort’s continued growth and success.  The resort has appointed Thomas Anderson as the chief marketing officer, Denise Harmon as the new director of sales and Rogerio Guerreiro as food and beverage director for the 519-room resort.

“I am very pleased to announce the appointment of these three industry experts,” said Benjamin Davis, general manager.  “We look forward to new levels of resort success with our dedicated team of associates who are the cornerstone of our success on Grand Bahama Island.  In addition, we continue our support of the destination and remain involved with efforts in the development of tourism in this fantastic destination.”

An industry veteran, Anderson brings over 30 years of travel/tourism experience to the resort.  Most recently, he served as senior vice president of marketing and development for Coral Hospitality where he was responsible for all marketing, sales and revenue development, as well as the business development and growth for the emerging hospitality enterprise.  Prior to that, he served as executive vice president and chief marketing officer for Superclubs Resorts, principal and chief marketing officer for Monarch Hotels and Resorts, and was senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Spirit Airlines for four years.

In addition to Thomas Anderson’s appointment, Grand Lucayan, Bahamas has named Denise Harmon as the new director of sales.  In her position, she is responsible for all of the sales efforts for the resort.  Harmon joins the Grand Lucayan team with over 20 years of experience in hotel sales, marketing and revenue management.    Prior to her appointment, Harmon owned and managed an all-suite guest house in Key West in addition to spearheading a “Floribbean” hospitality focused marketing firm.  Harmon began her career in South Florida and Key West and has experience at properties in Aruba and Puerto Rico.

With more than 20 years of experience, Rogerio Guerreiro joins Grand Lucayan as the resort’s food and beverage director and will ensure that all the resort’s restaurants and banquets operate seamlessly at the highest industry standards.  Guerreiro started his career alongside the launch of Seabourn Cruise Line and the Radisson Diamond cruise ship.  Before landing at Grand Lucayan, Guerreiro managed the food and beverage department on several Radisson Seven Seas cruise ships and The Regent Palms resort in Turks and Caicos.
