Freeport, Grand Bahama – Newly appointed CEO of BTC, Mr. Leon Williams visited Grand Bahama last week, as his restructuring plans for the company moves forward. While in Freeport, Williams along with his executive team paid a courtesy visit on President of The Grand Bahama Port Authority, Limited (GBPA), Mr. Ian Rolle.

“Williams is known for his contribution to the telecommunication industry as former CEO of BTC,” Rolle expressed. “His return bodes well for the organization’s future and I expect that we’ll see continued innovation and growth under his leadership,” he continued.

During the visit, the group had very surface talks regarding what the restructuring plans meant for the nation’s second city. Williams and his team assured President Rolle of better service for the island, underscoring that the exercise is to create a more efficient, competitive BTC product.

“Mr. Williams has expressed that the new structure for Grand Bahama would provide better service and also allow for better management of local resources,” stated Rolle.  “With the soon to come liberalization of this sector of the nation’s economy, all players must step up to provide quality, reliable and innovative services for its customers,” he concluded.
